To Our Partners
We welcome in becoming Partners with Pastors Louis & Demeda Smith and the Prayer Temple Christian Center Family. We are excited about what you will receive today. If you apply what you will received and walk by faith according to God's Word, it will surely cause a change in your personal walk with Christ as well as, in this ministry and it will be evident in your ministry as we "Commit to Excellence" in our church together, by helping to build the Kingdom of God. You will receive instructions in the Word of God, vision impartation and planning, along with fellowship with your brothers and sisters, your co-partners, in the Body of Christ. Pastor Demeda and I encourage you to take advantage of the information shared and the ministry resources, so that you can "re-live" it over and over again in your minds and spirits from this point on and into the coming year.
· Commitment: To say what you will do, and then to follow through and do what you have said. It is a pledge or promise to do something; the dedication to a long-term course of action, engagement and involvement; Commit: set apart to be used for some purpose. Commitments are made because we see something we believe in enough that we want to be personally involved.
· Excel/Excellence: to be better or greater than, or superior to (another or others), excel implies superiority in some quality, skill, achievement, etc. over all or over the one (or ones) it implies a going beyond (someone or something specified) in degree, amount, or quality.
Today you will be challenged to make some changes and encouraged to keep doing some things that are working. Be prepared to do something that you haven't done in a long time or something you have never done before; consistency is the key! We are asking you to make a promise to God and to this ministry to go beyond the norm and rededicate yourselves to excellence, by making this church the best church in Tracy. This is not competition, THIS IS EXCELLENCE!
Simply because, we now understand that we all work for the same company, you are no longer called members of Prayer Temple Christian Center; you are now "Partners". A Partner is a person who takes part in some activity in one common goal with others; Partnership is afrequent relationship between two or more persons engaged in the same business enterprise and sharing its profits and risks: each is an agent for the other or others and is liable, except when limited to his or her own investment, for the debts of the firm. Partnership is based on commitment because committed people are the ones who accomplish God's purpose and bring destruction to the kingdom of darkness. Whereas, membership is a person who belongs to some association, society, community, party, etc. The difference is that a Partner is actively involved in the organization, receives and shares the benefits whereas the member just belongs to the organization and is not obligated to get involved, neither do they purpose in their heart to get involved.
Therefore, just like any other organization they come together to sharpen each other's skills, likewise we must come together to sharpen one another. The bible says, Prov. 27:17 "Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend." Our sole motive is to bring this ministry and your gifts to an optimum level, "Committing Ourselves To Excellence" as we grow and build together what God has ordained us to do.
We ask you to set your hearts to receive from God, and not to leave this place the "same way you came, in Jesus' name.
